What was the highlight of Hotel Palacio de Aiete
Comfortable hotel tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood
We felt very relaxed in this hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and not cramped, with a little balcony. Cafe downstairs was mellow with fair prices. The hotel is a small hotel in a beautiful neighborhood away from the touristy section. There were buses a few blocks away that came frequently that we could take down the hill to the town. Picturesque location. Beautiful walks from this hotel to get to interesting sights. Staff was great. We asked for an electric kettle because that was not part of the amenities. They managed to find one to lend us during our stay.
We could have used a small fridge. Not sure if other rooms with higher rates have this.

Quiet Hotel haven, just 20 mins by foot from San Sebastián.. all downhill, run by lovely helpful staff… close enough yet
Clean, with air conditioning that worked, firm beds, ( we slept so well!), delightful staff that seemed genuinely interested in helping us. We also liked the location and ate breakfast both days in the local village square. Nice to meet some locals.
Distance from San Sebastián ( about 40 mins by foot on the way back uphill but 20 mins down to the town) Taxis are about 10 to 11 euros so worth it or take the number 19 bus at 1.75 euros pp.

What was the highlight of Hotel Palacio de Aiete
Wonderful
Very friendly and polite staff. It’s always a pleasure to stay there. Breakfast is really nice. We like to have a drink at the terrace of the restaurant which has great food. You can have a very pleasant walk 10 min to the city center or just take a taxi.

Great location, helpful staff with comfortable , clean room provided
Great location to either walk or take bus into the old town . Room was a nice size , good storage & comfortable bed .
Only thing would say is would have been nice to have a kettle in room to make own tea/coffee but there is a bar in hotel itself where you could get a tea/coffee & nice pastries. Parking although free on road outside could be an issue but we were lucky enough to get a good spot anyway
